This farm provides a wonderful day out for all the family, ensuring you’re little ones have a fantastic day meeting all the animals on the farm and running around on their amazing park. On the farm you can visit sheep, goats, donkeys, waterfowl, cattle and pigs! You can purchase food from the farms on site shop to feed the cows and goats which the kids will love.
The farm is located in Graves park, which also has a cafe available with lovely home made selections, two playgrounds, various sporting activities, nature trails and woodland walks! There are toilets located throughout the attraction and a car park on site which is very reasonable in price.

Old Holly Farm is a family run, working organic dairy farm, who provide both children and adults the opportunity to see, touch, smell, hear and taste the experience of a real working farm.
The farm is open 9am – 5pm everyday all year round but you can visit the latest news page for details of upcoming events.
There are a wide range of animal for you to see around the farm. You can experience feeding the cows and handle the chicks and rabbits as long as you take extra care.
On the farm there is a lovely cafe serving all home made food for you to taste and enjoy while your little ones can experience the indoor play area at a small cost.

Happy Mount Park
Happy Mount Park is a great day out to spend with the family. This park is recommended for people of all ages. You can sit and relax or take a stroll in the attractive parkland setting where there is lot’s of wild life for you to see, There is a popular cafe on the park and the food is of a reasonable price. There are lots of other attractions and activities to do around the park, however, you must remember to visit their website for find out their up and coming events.

What the park has to offer:
Multiple water jets are activated by movement, so children of all abilities will be able to activate the sensor operated water jets on this brightly coloured interactive installation. The Splash Park at Happy Mount Park is built on an outdoor soft play surface, so wheelchair users can access the fun. Get ready to get wet though, because once you’re in the splash zone there will be water everywhere!
Amongst the water jets a carousel of buckets spills water from above, a water arch sprays all who move through it, and cannons soak all those enjoying the watery fun.
Playing in the Splash Park at Happy Mount Park is free of charge and children must be supervised at all times.
This Golf course is a pirate-themed course which is suitable for players from age 5 onwards, and their obstacles will entertain visitors of all skill levels.
Adventure Golf, also known as Mini Golf or Crazy Golf, doesnt require any fancy equipment or a full set of clubs. Using only a putter, players try to manoeuvre their golf ball around a series of unique obstacles, avoiding hazards and aiming to finish their round in the least number of putts. A variety of club sizes are available to suit both children and adults.

The 16 hole course winds its way through a contoured all-weather terrain featuring faux bunkers and faux rough. An Adventure Golf round is both realistic and challenging and takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes from start to finish. Our admission prices offer great value and good fun: Children Under 14 years, £3.25; Adults, £3.95; Seniors, £3.75.

The Donkey Animal SanctuaryÂ
The Donkey Animal Sanctuary has a wonderful team of donkeys – the donkeys all love to meet new people

All the donkeys enjoy human interaction and the free roaming main yard donkeys will lap up your love and attention.
Selected sanctuaries offer an adoption donkeys and make a friend for life. There are special Meet the Groom sessions running twice a day which offer a chance for you to hear all the donkeysâ€™ latest stories and get to know these delightful characters better.
Selected sanctuaries also offer a Maze & Outdoor Play Area
Their are lots of wide grass walkways which are perfect for little people to safely explore the farm where they will find the donkey paddocks and outdoor farm-themed play area with vintage red tractor.
They run events throughout the year, from daily holiday activities and weekend treasure hunts to family fun days, car shows and nature events.Â

Brockholes is a new kind of nature reserve, an unreserved reserve. Brockholes is suitable for all ages and ability, whether you’re a naturalist or a beginner, they have something for you to enjoy and lots of chances for you to get close to nature. Brockholes is a great place for children. As well as exploring the reserve and Visitor Village they have an adventure play area nestled in the grassland, where the youngsters can swing, climb, balance and bounce in the play area whilst you relax on the picnic benches. Keep your eyes peeled for all their weekly event that take place around the reserve.
World Horse Welfare Penny FarmÂ
Penny Farm, is in Lancashire, it’s located near to Blackpool and is a great day out for all the family. They are open all year (on Wednesdays, Bank Holidays and weekends) and have a packed programme of events during school holidays.

Meet the horses
Penny Farm is home to around 65 horses at any one time. They have volunteers who will show you around and introduce you to our horses. You can even meet our Adoption Horse, Magpie!
Don’t worry about bad weather as all of their stables are indoors.
Explore Dale’s Trails
Explore the farm with ‘Dale’s Trails’. You can choose from one of two routes around the farm and complete a fun activity trail. You will be able to see the horse and ponies relaxing in the fields as well as learn about our farm environment and the wild birds and animals who live there.
Penny Farm really is catered for the whole family with dogs welcome to join you on your walk around the farm.
After exploring whichever trail takes your fancy, why not visit their coffee shop for refreshments? It will be serving homemade cakes and snacks as well as hot and cold drinks.
National Football Museum
This museum is located in the uniquely modern Urbis building in the centre of Manchester. The National Football Museum has proved a popular attraction since opening last July and its vast collection includes colourful memorabilia, player profiles, football kits and photographs chronicling the history of the beautiful game. The Discovery Zone is a place where children can dress up as footballers themselves; and in the storytelling corner they can listen to stories of teams’ triumphs. â€¢

World Museum Liverpool
Full of surprises for inquisitive kids, the World Museum Liverpool has a huge collection (of natural wonders and relics) displayed in a fun, interactive and accessible way. The Bug House will undoubtedly be at the top of the list: you can ogle the museum’s research collection and peek at the live displays of leafcutter ants and bees. This is a great indoor attraction which offers something different to see.
Located only minutes from the M55 motorway and FREE ONSITE PARKING.
This attraction is Â FREE for all visitors.
They are the largest rock manufacturer in Blackpool, open all year round apart from the Christmas break. They welcome individuals to parties at any time. They have a large purpose built viewing gallery from where the whole production area can be seen. You will get the chance to see how they put the letters in the rock, how lollipops are made and the history of rock making at the company.
The company make a range of products to send all over the world they donâ€™t guarantee to be making rock when you visit, as they could be making sweets or lollipops and other novelty items. However, they offer great video of all their production processes showing all the products they make.
You can enjoy a coffee and a light snack in their cafÃ© area and then visit their factory shop for Blackpoolâ€™s freshest rock, confectionery and souvenirs.
